The Grande Casino in Colorado is famous for being haunted by a ghost named Maggie, for whom Maggie’s Restaurant is named. According to local legend she plays the slot machines at with a female ghost at evening. Maggies is said to be dressed in turn-of-the-century attire if you see a spirit. She even enjoys singing a lot.

The casino is located in the Fairley Bros. & amp, Lampman Building, which was built in 1896 and has previously housed a pharmacy, haircut, and business practices on the second floor.

On October 11, 1991, the Colorado Grande Casino opened its doors.

In 2002, Isle of Capri Blackhawk purchased the property from IGT along with its Colorado game holdings. A shared equity partnership between Nevada Gold and the Isle of Capri Black Hawk existed. Nevada Gold, but, acquired its partner in 2005.

Nevada Gold sold the casino to Minter for$ 3 million in 2012. Since all of Nevada Gold ’s other properties were in Washington, the company decided to concentrate on the Pacific Northwest instead of just Colorado.
